I have other products from the manufacturer and having extra batteries is always a good thing. So, spring is here I need to take down some trees so lets give it a try.First, it comes ready to go. Some things I noticed are that the chains that come with it are nice Oregon chains. Also, the bolts on the bar cover are captured; they dont fall into the dirt when you install or change the chain. The bar oil fill is nice and wide. No spills. For the first time in my very long life I had a chain come off while using this. I suppose I did not notice it was getting loose (it is new). The saw stopped immediately. Fixing the chain I noticed that it was nicely oiled and the bar cover wasnt completely packed with sawdust. So, for cutting I cut down and cut up two small elm trees (about 20 and 30) and one larger pine tree (65). It did take two batteries to cut everything down and cut it all into movable pieces. A couple of times I believe the batteries got hot and the saw stopped. Honestly this isnt much different from using a mid tier gas saw. When I brought the batteries inside to charge the charger blinked red. I believe the batteries got a little hot (they felt mildly warm). After a few minutes they both charged as normal. This is my first battery powered chainsaw and I think it is a good one. I can leave this in my pickup toolbox and not worry about leaking gas, or having mixed gas when I need it. This will not do the job of a nice Stihl saw, but it isnt as expensive, either.I will update if I have any problems. None yet.
