This strap will be a good replacement for my old commercial grade (Dolmar) double handle bar string trimmer. That strap is about 14 years old and seen better days, as seen in my attached pics for comparison.This replacement strap does adjust as long as the old one and has a similar metal spring clip. It also has a quick release push connector to separate from the spring clip. This new strap does have a nicer padded shoulder protector, although more comfortable it may not be as durable as the old style one. The nylon webbing on this new strap is wider than the old one but not nearly as thick and heavy duty. The metal spring clip is also not as heavy duty as my old strap but at $8.99 even if it only last half as long, that would be 7 years. This strap is a great value for what you're getting, especially at such a low cost!

Better than ryobi

This item is an adjustable, padded shoulder strap designed to hold a string or a pole trimmer. The metal parts are stainless steel and the strap is made from nylon fabric. A quick release plastic buckle is also attached. This strap helps distribute the load from carrying a trimmer. My use is to support a damaged string trimmer that had its handle crushed. Using paracord, I was able to attach this strap using its spring clip. One picture shows that trimmer with the strap attached to paracord loops both above and below where the handle once was. It fits my shoulder at the correct position to just swing the trimmer head at the right angle and height to use effectively.The listing did not mention the length of this strap. With the buckle connected, but excluding the short section holding the spring clip, the minimum and maximum folded lengths measured at 24" and 32" respectively. The clip section is about 4.25" or so. Thus the total length is double that maximum which would be 64" plus the clip section.
